Feathers of Truth By Amasaba Abdul-Yakeen Aluizah In a quiet village of Yiti, a woman named Aninara lived in fear, trapped in a cycle of abuse by her husband, Napopo. Every day, she bore the brunt of his violent temper. One fateful dawn, unable to endure another beating, Aninara fled to the Imam’s home, her body wrapped in a single cloth, breathless and shaken. She managed to explain the horrors she regularly faced and pleaded for refuge, knowing her husband was in hot pursuit.     Before long, Napopo arrived, furious and accusing.
